This Shipping Policy applies to every order placed at velvetandwhisker.com. The store is operated by Liart Sustainable LLC, a limited liability company registered in New Jersey, United States, trading as Velvet & Whisker.
Where we ship
We currently ship to the United States, Canada and Japan; checkout offers only those countries. If an address within them cannot be reached, we tell you and refund the order in full before anything is produced.
Each order is printed and dispatched by the print partner nearest your delivery address, so a piece usually travels a short distance to you.
How long it takes
An order has two stages, and only the second one is shipping:
1. Proof — we paint your portrait and send it for approval, normally within 2–3 business days. Nothing is printed until you approve it, and the clock for the rest starts then.
2. Production and delivery — after approval, most items are printed and dispatched within 2–5 business days. Delivery then takes about 3–8 business days within the United States and 7–20 business days internationally.
These are estimates, not guarantees. Carriers and customs occasionally take longer, and we will chase it with you if they do.
What shipping costs
Shipping is free on orders over $75. Below that it is calculated at checkout from your delivery address, and the exact amount is shown before you pay.
Duties and taxes
Orders delivered within the United States carry no import charges. For international deliveries, any import duty or tax is set by the destination country and is payable by you on delivery. We cannot predict or control these charges.
Tracking
A tracking link is emailed as soon as your parcel leaves the print partner. Personalised pieces are packed to protect the printed surface and the frame.
If something goes wrong in transit
If your parcel arrives damaged, or does not arrive at all, write to [email protected] within 30 days of the expected delivery date with your order number and a photograph where relevant. We replace it or refund it in full — your choice, at no cost to you.
