These Terms of Service govern your use of velvetandwhisker.com and every order placed through it. By using the site or placing an order you agree to them.
Who you are dealing with
velvetandwhisker.com is operated by Liart Sustainable LLC, a limited liability company registered in New Jersey, United States, trading under the brand name Velvet & Whisker. References to "we", "us" and "the studio" mean Liart Sustainable LLC.

What we make
Every portrait is an original painting made from the photograph you supply, then printed on the product you choose. Because each piece is made to your order:
- We send you a proof of the artwork before anything is printed, normally within 2–3 business days.
- Two rounds of refinement are included. Tell us what to change and we change it.
- Nothing goes into production until you approve the proof.
Colour, cropping, placement and finished dimensions may vary slightly between the on-screen proof and the printed item. Screens differ from inks; this is normal and is not a fault.
Your photograph
You must own the photograph you upload, or have the photographer's permission to use it. Do not upload unlawful material or anything that infringes another person's rights. You keep ownership of your photograph. You grant us only the permission we need to make, proof, produce and deliver your order, and to keep a copy for reorders and support.
We may decline a photograph that is too small, too dark or too blurred to paint well. We tell you before we start, and you may send another or cancel for a full refund.
Orders and pricing
- Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and may change without notice. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.
- Payment is taken at checkout and processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- We may refuse or cancel an order — for example a pricing error, an unusable photograph, or a payment we cannot verify — and we refund any payment taken in full.
Our work
The paintings, product photographs, text and design on this site belong to Liart Sustainable LLC or its licensors. You may not reproduce them without written permission, beyond sharing a link to the site. The finished piece is yours to keep, display and give.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, the site and its content are provided as they are, and our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live. If something goes wrong, write to us first — almost everything is settled by email within a day or two.
